Seeds. (Reversible)

What is left underneath?
Twice as many shells as seeds
Half a heart is left after she leaves
Twice the stars you can count
And then some, conservatively
Twice the story hidden around
Half the writing as would be
Twice read poetic schemes
What is left underneath?

(Put it in reverse, read each line from bottom to top.)
